Gregg says things people may react to. Gregg says things people like. Gregg says things that confuse people. Gregg says things.

first prax

Guess what, it went incredibly.

it's been a while?

Wow, longest non-blog interval ever.

Not much new news (sp?) but I've thoroughly enjoyed doing nothing. Got our first proper practise space time booked, Monday from 7-10 @ Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast. They're all about the newcomers, so we decided to pop on board. We should have some promo pictures and a name picked out soon enough, including ghosts and a wreck of a big-ass house. <3

You stay classy, Planet Earth.

ouch.

I have got a plaster on my finger. Devastating.

Yes, it's fuuuun to listen to beats. Big beats. Big beats with heart and soul and ridiculous amounts of dirty synth bass. Grrrreat, just like something Tony the Tiger would listen to. Steve Aoki, Busy P, SebastiAn, Justice, Bloody Beetroots, amazing.

If anyone else actually cares about this, get yourself Romborama by Bloody Beetroots. Incredible album, never knew non-Frenchies could do it so well.

Yeah, nearly have this band sorted by now everyone, will keep you ALL posted.

Lovelovelove.

Mathematicals

I never ever have to do Maths ever again. Never. Not even if I have to work out currencies abroad, as I can use a computer. I will never have to add, because a till does it for me. I will never have to save, because my bank can do that. I will never have to find out why x is x. Or why there is a right angle in a triangle. It's because the triangle was born without limbs, ok?

This is the greatest feeling on earth. It's like a non-mathematical, hypothetical and pathetical high. Awesome. Averages, means, medians, common denominators and especially quadratic graphs and expansions are all being forgotten. I feel like triumphantly beating my head off a brick wall. Magic.

That's about it really, although, all you folks gotta' remember;

2+2= No maths.

eyes of a fish

Well, my good friend Gordo's fisheye lens came for his Sony DSLR this morning. Man did we have fun on the bus journey home from our day in Belfast. Here's just one of the little highlights.

tidbits.

Ten down, twelve to go.

I managed to negotiate a purchase of this lovely little guitar. She'll be 190 quid all in with a strap. I need to sell my old guitar first though, it's £200 quid and it's got 3 potential buyers. So I'm excited. Effects pedals are next on this list, that should be fun!

On the other hand, I found this...

Apparently Dave Knudson, the guitarist for progressive indie-pop(?) band Minus the Bear hates pepsi. Go figure, I do too.

early blug.

Yeah, well I'm sitting here trying to waste time before my bus to school. Got a biology exam this fine morning, I shouldn't mind sitting in the baking heat in a black uniform for two hours.

I think this is my first post which has been made in the morning. Awesome! Needed to broaden my blogging specification though, so it's all good and called for.

Other news? I don't know, bassists are very hard to find, bassists who are committed and half-decent aren't existant. I have to down my brand-spanking new CV into a few shops, hopefully find a way to make green.

Well, I better shoot, don't fancy missing a GCSE, that wouldn't be too pleasant for the rentals. Have a sweetass day, it's started itself!

Here's what I'm listening to, enjoy! (Should be beneficial on all those hot Summer mornings!)

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez + John Frusciante new album.

Well, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, the main brain behind The Mars Volta, and all trillion of his solo/quartet/group/el gruepo neuveo de ____ albums, has released another FANTASTIC album with his collabratory friend, John Frusicante (Formerly of Red Hot Chili Peppers) and it's a majestic and inspiring psychadelic fest of Acid-rock, hard hitting drumming and electronic samples. Great. Full of mojo.

Here's the link; CLICK ME CLICK ME YES ON MY FACE.
There should be instructions on how to get the album for free. Any donations made (obligatory) go to a music in schools foundations. On the right sidebar is another album by Omar and John, not as heavy in the psychadelic realms, but just as trippy, in an eerie sense.

Enjoy!
